13 to 17 Year Old Students

1. According to no-bullying.com, 83% of girls and 79% of boys will encounter some form of bullying in their school journey. We help students identify and respond to bullies. And teach them simple and effective physical responses to physical contact. We also teach when these responses are appropriate and teach that a physical response is the last resort.
We will also discuss rape situations and avoiding them as well as getting out of them.
We have a great Clinic through "Worth The Fight" that we hit on many issues that girls encounter.

2. Physical conditioning is important at every age. Taekwondo will give you the exercise you need and the training helps our understanding of how the body functions, how to develop different muscle groups, how to improve your flexibility, speed and balance.

3. Martial Arts has many benefits to individuals. Our tenets are Modesty, Perseverance, Self-Control,Indomitable Spirit, and Etiquette. All great tenets for life. Not only does Taekwondo give tools for you life.

4. Competition gives our students an arena for practicing our tenents in a practical way. Athletes have fun, develop skills, and develop friendships with their teammates. They not only feel the excitement of winning, but also learn from their losses and frustrations. They learn to deal with the pressure. There are several teens that compete.

Our school opens many doors to compete at the dojang, throughout the state(MET-Montana Events Team), regionally, nationally(NET-National Events Team) and even at the world level. Master Rosbarsky is an accomplished athlete and coaches on an international level. Amanda Rosbarsky coaches the Poomsae team and has recently earned bronze at the Pan-American Championships in Mexico this year.
An added benefit for the teeange athlete is the ability to earn a Varsity Letter after they earn their red belt. Mrs. Rosbarsky worked hard for the athletes to keep training in Taekwondo while they are in high school and earn their letter just like the other sports.

5. We have a great community of people at Missoula Taekwondo Center. We have common goals of bettering ourselves through Taekwondo and we encourage one another to succeed. A camaraderie is built and life-long friendships. We workout together, cheer for each other and have fun too.
